I’ve just made a big order at Geek & Gorgeous,<\/strong> a Hungarian brand that you will hear about in the next few months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If The Ordinary, Niod, Paula’s Choice and Skinceuticals had a child (I know, it’s impossible to have a child at 4, but let’s assume), it would be Geek & Gorgeous<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Geek & Gorgeous, what is it?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There is little information about this brand, as it is a Hungarian brand<\/strong>. The creator has created an equivalent of Paula Ingredients<\/em>, which allows users to write reviews or analyze cosmetic products’ ingredients. She realized that it would be better to launch her own brand, with a minimalist list of active and concentrated ingredients.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am delighted with my serum at The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and its Niacinamide 100% powder. Still, I have had feedback from some readers who don’t like the zinc in this serum, so I wanted to test B-Bomb from Geek & Gorgeous to see if I can recommend it to readers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This serum contains 2 star ingredients: Niacinamide & Zinc <\/strong>along with Sarcosine<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aqua (water), Niacinamide<\/strong>, Butylene Glycol, Glycereth-26, Zinc PCA, Sarcosine<\/strong>, Propanediol, Pentylene Glycol, Xanthan Gum, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Niacinamide<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Niacinamide is a water-soluble vitamin of B3, ultra-moisturizing. It improves the skin’s barrier function by stimulating the synthesis of lipids, limiting water loss, and fighting against dryness. It stimulates the production of collagen (reduces wrinkles), has an anti-inflammatory effect (against acne), reduces and regulates the production of melanin (superb for spots)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

B-Bomb contains 10% Niacinamide, just like The Ordinary. 10% is a lot! Some dermatologists recommend only 5%, but my skin can tolerate 10% Niacinamide without any problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zinc<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 1% Zinc present in the serum of The Ordinary seems to purge a lot of people. Geek & Gorgeous offers the same Zinc PCA version: a mixture of Zinc and L-PCA, the exact concentration of which is not known:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
