This month, I didn\u2019t spend much time at the sewing machine. My biggest project was a pair of tailored trousers made from 100% upcycled wool which I talked about here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After five days of sewing, I realized the trousers were way too big for me. And yet, I used the smallest size from the pattern, and the measurements listed matched mine. I\u2019ve decided to learn pattern making (with this book by Dominique Pellen<\/a>) because it feels like such a waste to spend that much time making a garment that doesn\u2019t fit me.<\/p>\n\n\n
