I bought this Klorane shampoo out of necessity more than anything else. Since we moved into an apartment with a light-colored floor, I’ve become much more aware of how much hair I’m losing.
The situation was pretty shocking, and even JB noticed it when he looked at the floor and asked me if everything was okay. My hair is long, so there was no way it could go unnoticed anymore.
What I liked
What impressed me most was how quickly it worked. From the very first uses, I felt like I was losing much less hair. The light-colored floor doesn’t lie: there are no more stray hairs everywhere.
It also leaves a pleasant, soft scent.
I also liked that it works well despite producing fairly little foam. The scent is a little herbal and quite noticeable, but it still feels consistent with the product’s plant-based, care-focused formula.
What I liked less
The price, definitely. It’s already expensive to begin with, and in Polynesia it costs even more. But it’s the case for most products sold in French pharmacies.
It’s the kind of product you buy while hoping it really lives up to the promise.
Another small downside: it doesn’t lather much at all. That’s not necessarily a flaw in itself, but if you like rich, luxurious, highly sensory shampoos, this one may come as a surprise.
Verdict
Overall, this is a shampoo I find truly effective. It doesn’t stand out for its scent or its lather, but it does the job, and it does it well. If your main goal is to reduce hair loss and give your scalp a slightly calmer, healthier feel, it’s definitely worth trying.
