Today, I will review Novexpert’s famous Booster Serum with Hyaluronic Acid, an organic product with incredible hydrating effects. Since I don’t have wrinkles, the effects of this serum are only hydrating for me, but my friend Marjorie has seen incredible effects on her frown lines. At first, I thought: “a very nice bottle, but does the efficiency match its beautiful bottle?”
My Before Routine
I had a rather simple routine that I adopted between 3 and 4 years ago:
- cleaning my face and neck with water in the morning (soap, in the evening)
- floral water
- jojoba oil + aloe vera
My After Routine
So I started to include the serum in my routine :
- facial cleansing
- carrot floral water
- serum
- jojoba oil + aloe vera
Texture, Odor & Packaging
The first aspect that stroke me when I used the serum is the texture, it looks a bit like aloe vera but more liquid.
Then, the smell, a subtle smell, not invasive, which I liked right away.
Thirdly, in one good drop, I can apply on my face and neck thanks to the codi-drops. This is great because I don’t like to leave the product open too long. Fourthly, my skin absorbs the product very well. No lint with the rest of my routine (oil + aloe).
I added a bit of a twist to the routine when I decided to integrate the Centifolia cream included in my advent calendar
New routine
- cleaning with water
- carrot floral water
- serum (that I feel with my fingers after application to wake up my skin)
- and rose radiance cream from Centifolia to see how my skin reacts to this new routine.
The product did not lint on application of the cream after the serum. Another positive point.

Comment by Anh: this serum contains glycerin as the 2nd ingredient and hyaluronic acid as the 6th ingredient. The hyaluronic acid is available in the form of 4 molecular weights, allowing deeper penetration. Hyaluronic acid is a humectant, capable of retaining water up to 1000 times its weight, but it is always necessary, as Marjorie does, to moisturize the skin well with a cream after the serum, because it has to take water somewhere. If the skin doesn’t have enough water, hyaluronic acid can, on the contrary, dry out the skin. Always use a cream after the hyaluronic acid, it’s the only thing to remember!
My opinion
After 3 days, I find my skin more plumped, moisturized, the wrinkle between my two eyes called “lion’s wrinkle” that appeared a few years ago is less apparent. I have an expression wrinkle on my forehead which is still there because you shouldn’t dream, expression wrinkles are inevitable because we don’t know how to control our expressions, that’s what makes us human and we can’t totally erase this humanity ah ah ah ah ah
But I find that it is also less apparent and it is a good thing because it makes this wrinkle very complex for me, the big complex because it is in the middle of the forehead. I’m not a fan of botox, surgery and the like so this will be my new best friend.
What is the use of this serum for me? I would say that it is a precious care. It adds a + to my routine, a + that my skin likes and that gives more meaning to my care. I’m delighted because it allows my skin to regain beautiful elasticity, I can feel it when I pinch my cheeks. I feel that my skin is alive.
