[Review] PATYKA Crème Lactée Hydra-Apaisante

Are you looking for a moisturizer for your combination to oily skin, or a moisturizer for summer? Look no further!

Patyka

Patyka is a French organic brand 100% vegan created by a Parisian apothecary. The name “PATYKA”, from the ancient Greek “APOTHEKÊ”, pays homage to the apothecary of the 1920s. The first cosmetics brand to be certified organic in the world (Ecocert), Patyka offers effective cosmetics in a minimalist but cute packaging. The brand wants to bet on efficiency (thanks to the active ingredients) while respecting the organic & ethical side.

I was able to test the Hydra-Soothing Milky Cream of the brand (27,9€ for 40ml), formulated against dehydration and dull complexion. It was a gift from my sister because I had no moisturizer during the confinement and she offered me to test it. I have sensitive combination skin that is prone to pimples.

Thanks to its light and rather liquid texture, it is suitable for combination to oily skin (all seasons), or all skin types in summer.

The formula contains a few ingredients that I don’t like too much like ALCOHOL*DENAT and LINALOOL but my sensitive acne-prone skin didn’t react at all! No pimples to report.

Assets

This cream, which was thought to be simple, contains 3 important active ingredients:

Mont Blanc Glacier Water: This thirst-quenching water is rich in minerals and trace elements essential for skin vitality.
Pro-Ceramides plant complex:This complex restores and protects the hydrolipidic film of the skin and prevents dehydration.
Vegetal Bisabolol: Perfect for sensitive skin, it soothes and repairs uncomfortable skin.

Texture

As you can see on the picture, the texture is rather liquid.

What I really like about this minimalist but effective packaging is that the small cap allows you to perfectly dose the right amount of cream, while remaining super hygienic.

Absorption

Absorption is instantaneous, the cream is as if drunk through the skin. It does not leave any oily traces, does not lint, does not leave an oily film. All we ask of a light cream for this summer!
