[Review] The Ordinary Buffet + Copper Peptides 1% Before After Photos

This post is also available in: Français

Because of the confinement, it took longer for my cosmetic orders to arrive, and without my favorite products during my menstrual week, what was bound to happen happened: a mini acne breakout on my right cheek'(

So I took the opportunity to place a slightly more expensive order on the DECIEM website: the Niacinamide 10% Zinc 1% that I like very much in big format (60ml) and the Buffet + Copper Peptides 1% which I heard a lot of good.

The Ordinary, what is it?

It is a brand known for its high concentration of active ingredients in its products – without the high price tag that goes with it.

Thus, you can have access to peeling, moisturizing, skin barrier repair products… to the star ingredients of facial care – for less than 10€

Buffet + Copper Peptides 1%

Here is the description of this serum on The Ordinary website:

This formula contains multiple technologies that simultaneously target the signs of skin aging:

copper Peptides known as GHK-Cu (Copper Tripeptide-1)

  • matrixyl 3000 peptide complex (with palmitoyl-pentapeptide 35)
  • matrixyl Synthe’6 peptide complex (with palmitoyl tripeptide 38)
  • the Syn-Ake peptide complex (with diaminobutyroyl benzylamide diacetate dipeptide)
  • relistase peptide complex (with acetylarginyltryptophyl diphenylglycine)
  • argirelox peptide complex (with acetyl hexapeptide-8 and pentapeptide-18)
  • a Probiotic complex (with lactococcus lactis lysate)

All this combined with a base of 11 amino acids and multiple complexes of Hyaluronic Acid.

In short, only hyper yummy things and good for the skin!

Buffet + Copper Peptides 1% Serum is different from the “Buffet” formula because it contains 1% pure Copper Peptides, known for their skin health boosting benefits. These peptides are found naturally in the human body and support many skin functions, such as collagen synthesis, fibroblast production, and anti-inflammatory reactions.

Basically: it is an anti-aging, moisturizing product that can improve the texture of the skin.

The total concentration of these active technologies is 26.1%.

26.1% active ingredients in a bottle of serum is like treating yourself to a perfume extract!

I would add that unlike “Buffet”, this serum does not contain PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, the famous castor oil that has the side effect of making facial hair grow 😀 Therefore, those who liked the “Buffet” serum and hated this side effect can turn to Buffet + Copper Peptides 1%

Ingredients

Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Lactococcus Ferment Lysate, Copper Tripeptide-1, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Pentapeptide-18, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38, Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate, Acetylarginyltryptophyl Diphenylglycine, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Sodium Hyaluronate, Allantoin, Glycine, Alanine, Serine, Valine, Isoleucine, Proline, Threonine, Histidine, Phenylalanine, Arginine, Aspartic Acid, Trehalose, Fructose, Glucose, Maltose, Urea, Sodium PCA, PCA, Sodium Lactate, Citric Acid, Hydroxypropyl Cyclodextrin, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Hydroxide, Butylene Glycol, Pentylene Glycol, Acacia Senegal Gum, Xanthan Gum, Carbomer, Polysorbate 20, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Sodium Benzoate, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin

The price

28,9€ for 30ml, one of the most expensive products of The Ordinary. We don’t need a lot of product so I don’t find the price excessiveThe
Buffet + Copper Peptides 1% is more expensive than the other products (28,9€) because the active ingredient: Copper Peptides, is very expensive at the base.

This product is on sale on their official website (link), at the same price as in Canada and the United States. The delivery is free and no customs fees to report.

Packaging & Texture

The texture suits me, it’s neither too liquid nor too thick. Despite the blue color (too pretty), the face does not become blue ahaha. On the contrary, the blue will neutralize the yellow undertones of the skin.

This is what happens when I spread a drop on my hand. My skin is instantly moisturized. It’s not sticky at all.
Since it’s concentrated, you have to put a maximum of 2 drops on your whole face

As with all The Ordinary bottles, the plastic cap does not plug superbly with the glass bottle. You have to remember to close the product properly.

However, this glass bottle is also opaque, and helps to preserve the product from light.

This product can be used without any problem with Niacinamide of the same brand, nothing fluffy.

Effectiveness: Before/after results

Here are the results obtained in just 2 weeks (one application per day). I’m taking it easy because it’s a new product, so I alternate.
After 5 days, it hasn’t completely disappeared but these stains can now be very easily hidden with a simple concealer. The surface is smooth and is no longer red like before.
After 2 weeks, you can hardly see anything anymore.

Sorry for the difference in light, I never manage to get the same light on all the pictures.
The picture comes from my other blog Tour du monde 5 continents

In short, I validate!

The combination: amino acids + peptides + copper peptides seem to work.
My skin is well moisturized and has quickly calmed down after this loose attack of menstrual pimples.

Unfortunately, the anti-aging effect cannot be verified because I have no wrinkles.

Where to buy?

This product is for sale on their official website (here).
The delivery is free, fast and is done from England so no customs fees to report.

Note: if you have been conquered by copper peptides, you may be interested in my opinion on DECIEM NIOD CAIS 2
