I’ve had them for a long time, but it’s only recently that I’ve been using them regularly because of the cold. Quality leather gloves can be lined with silk, cashmere… but also with rabbit fur. They’re incredibly warm and exceptionally soft. The outer leather is suede and will require special suede wax, but it cleans very well. I highly recommend them if you’re as sensitive to cold as I am.
Another item for extreme cold: a rabbit fur bolero. It’s incredibly warm and can be worn discreetly under a coat. The 3/4 sleeves allow unrestricted movement without worrying about soiling the fur. All my fur items are rabbit and come from resale sites. On Vinted, genuine fur items are removed 1-2 days after listing, so you need to search either on Leboncoin or Vestiaire Collective. Fur garments last for generations, and the current trend is to entrust them to a skilled furrier to reverse the fur… so the fur becomes the lining and the exterior can be gabardine or leather, depending on your preference. Some people also transform old fur coats into throws.
