I have just discovered a new brand: NIOD. It’s been around for ages but I finally dared to ruin myself to offer myself the three bestsellers of the brand: CAIS 2, MMHC2 and S0.

NIOD, what is it?
NIOD is part of the company DECIEM, which also owns the brand THE ORDINARY that everyone knows. NIOD is the acronym for Non-Invasive Options in Dermal Science.
While The Ordinary offers active ingredients in an almost pure state, NIOD offers carefully formulated products with active ingredients delivered in a revolutionary way. Some products are several years ahead of today’s cosmetics.
However, NIOD uses a lot of jargon, which means that only highly motivated users can understand the language and decode only the product description.
NIOD MMHC2, what is it?
MMHC 2 is a moisturizing serum, containing 15 types of hyaluronic acid of various molecular sizes, to deeply moisturize the skin.\n\nMMHC 2 refers to MULTI-MOLECULAR HYALURONIC COMPLEX.\nAnd 2 refers to the second version of this best-selling serum.
What does MMHC 2 contain?
15 types of hyaluronic acid while the best on the market contains a maximum of 5. Hyaluronic acid is a natural humectant present in every tissue of the human body. It is present in high concentrations in the skin and around the eyes. As the body’s natural moisturizer, this hydrophilic molecule acts like a sponge that attracts and retains up to 1000 times its weight in water. It is therefore an excellent moisturizer for the skin.
If the hyaluronic acid is too large, it will attract water from the epidermis to the surface of the skin and dry out the deeper layers. With smaller weights of hyaluronic acids, they can penetrate deeper to ensure a better action on several levels. The skin will thus be plumped and softened.
Moreover, most hyaluronic acid serums tend to contain “sodium hyaluronate” when in fact it does contain hyaluronic acid at an exceptional concentration of 1%. Thus, it not only boosts water retention but can also repair, support the overall health of the skin by encouraging it to produce its own hyaluronic acid and increase its elasticity.
This light, fast-absorbing treatment rich in antioxidants will also protect you from free radical damage and prevent future dehydration.
How to use it?
4 drops for the whole face.\nApply just after cleansing or just after CAIS 2.
As it contains 15 types of hyaluronic acid, its effect is immediate.

Packaging
15ml vs. 30ml
Compared to The Ordinary, NIOD’s packaging is super classy. However, the bottle is made of tinted glass (to protect the product from the light) and you have to be careful because it breaks very quickly. As it is very liquid, all it takes is a small unfortunate gesture for the bottle to spill its entire contents. Given the price of the serum, keep it in a safe place.
Texture & Odor
In general, hyaluronic acid serums have a viscous texture, but this one is very liquid, it looks like water. I don’t put it on my hand because it absorbs too quickly. I apply directly to my skin with the pipette. This texture is very criticized because it doesn’t feel like I put a lot, but I assure you that it doesn’t take much to see the results (4 drops for the whole face).
For those who like to spread multiple products (Asian layering), it’s great because you can do your 10-step routine without having a 5cm layer.
There is no smell, well, a discreet smell, but it doesn’t smell good either. Once applied to the face, you don’t smell anything.
Note: As with all hyaluronic acid serums, seal behind with a moisturizing cream.

Results
On my own, I don’t see incredible results on my skin. In fact, my skin is well hydrated at the base (because I have a good routine and I really like moisturizing masks) so frankly, when it comes to hydration, I don’t see any noticeable difference.
On the other hand, combined with CAIS 2 in the evening, my skin is superb the next day: repaired and rested, very soft with much, much less texture. You no longer see red traces of the old healing pimples. It’s a great pleasure, especially since my skin is very damaged at the moment because of the not very favorable conditions (barrier masks, heat wave…)
Here are the pictures before/after 6 weeks of use of CAIS 2 & MMHC 2. I hope not to shock anyone. It’s my skin, it’s not perfect but it’s healing. The pimples have disappeared even though there are days when I wear the mask all day long. The mask is behind me alleluia, I just have to take care of the spots now.
Brandon Truaxe claims that the CAIS / MMHC duo provides more anti-aging effects than any vitamin C, that’s to say!
Both CAIS 2 and MMHC 2 can be applied to the eye area, so enjoy! It doesn’t sting the skin or eyes in any way…
I will come back in 3 months time to finish the serum, to give you a complete before/after. But the results after 3 weeks are so great that I couldn’t help but share them with you.
