July 2023 Update: The novel has been completed in Korean and is being officially translated into English. You can get them all (8 ebooks) on Amazon Kindle directly (click here : Amazon link). 5 ebooks for Season 1 + bonus ebook (Riftan’s POV, to read!!! <3) and 2 ebooks for Season 2. More ebooks will come. More snusnu as well 😉
Printed versions will be available in 2024 but we don’t know yet if the printed version will include the 2 seasons or not.
As the rest of Under the Oak‘s Part 1 hasn’t been translated yet, many of international fans are reading the novel directly on Ridibooks.
In this article, I will show you how to buy the novel. Beware, 1 chapter in Korean = 2 chapters in English. If you are looking for Chapter 128 in English, read Chapter 65 in Korean.
- Open Google Chrome on your computer and go to Ridibooks. Chrome will automatically translate the website from Korean to English (or whichever language you prefer)
- Now everything will be translated into your language. It will be so much easier. Click on “Sign Up”
- Choose “General Membership Registration”
- Fill in the form
- Comes the tricky part: get whitelisted to be able to read +19yo novels.
- Log into your account and contact the customer service by clicking here
- Fill in the form

- Within 24h, you will receive an email from Ridibooks
- You can then delete cookies and cache and log in again to your Ridibooks account.
- Go to the novel page (click here)
- To purchase all chapters, check Select All => Select Buy. You will have access to Part 1, Riftan’s POV (44 chapters), and Part 2 (uncomplete as the Author is still on hiatus).
- You can then pay with an International card
- With my Revolut international card (get yours for free here), even if I pay in wons, I don’t have to pay extra fees. If you are not lucky like me, your bank may make you pay 2€ (or more) for international payment fees.
- Now, you can read the novel directly on your Chrome browser, using the Google Translate features.
- The automatic translation is quite bad and mixes up pronouns. However, it’s quite easy to understand the overall story. Enjoy!
