What a joy! I’ve just received my USA cosmetic order. Not in its entirety, unfortunately, because Topical is still in a container somewhere. But most of the products are already here!
Immediately after receiving this order, I left for Thailand, where I did a 2-week quarantine in Bangkok. I was very apprehensive because every time I go to Bangkok, every pore of my face is clogged, and I immediately get a breakout. But I don’t know if it’s because of the Covid, Bangkok’s air is less polluted, or because I stay indoors, with the air conditioning H24, the air is purer (because it’s filtered), but I didn’t have any acne outbreak.
I took the opportunity to test my new anti-spot products to death. Because when you can’t see the sun and can’t step outside, it’s the PERFECT time to use them. And I really liked my products! Because of the bubble tea, I had 2-3 small pimples on my forehead. As soon as I applied these serums containing niacinamide, kojic acid, tranexamic acid, not only did the pimples go away, they went away without leaving any dark spot.
I will say this:
Tranexamic Topical Acid 5% by Naturium (link to Amazon US) is an all-in-one serum that can be used just before the cream, in “I’m lazy, and I use a minimum of products” mode. The packaging is more classy than its price suggests. Frankly, I don’t like Naturium’s founder, but her products are sooo good!
While SkinCeuticals’ Discoloration Defense Serum (Skinceuticals link) is a more concentrated treatment serum to use when you feel like embarking on a 10-step routine, the serum absorbs so quickly that you want to spread more. Still, the brand said it: 3 to 5 drops are enough. Personally, serums like Skinceuticals are my favorites because I travel with little luggage. I always need hyper-concentrated products, so I don’t have to think about buying more, finding stock, etc.
The old acne marks of August 2020! Yes, the maskne leaves a lot of tears and dark spots. I haven’t had maskne since October 2020, but the spots have been getting to me ever since. The hydroquinone in Ambi Fade Cream for Oily Skin (link) cleared them up in just two weeks! I am left with new skin, ohlala, the emotion! Beware, hydroquinone should be used with caution.
Azelaic Acid Emulsion 10% from Naturium (Amazon US link) is also one of my new favorite products. It’s lighter than a cream, and it’s the first time I’ve had azelaic acid in emulsion form like this. It’s a change from serums. Naturium: excellent discovery, this American brand. I hope it will be available soon in France, but you can always order from the US like me in the meantime and receive your order anywhere in the world.
