Pashmina, Merino Wool: My Fav Vinted Accounts

Right now, it’s between -2 and 2 degrees in Lille every day, and I need to quickly build a “cold weather” wardrobe for JB and myself, without spending a fortune (300 euros for 70% polyamide knitwear? No thanks!). And Vinted is perfect for this. We have access to much higher quality materials (100% wool) for a fraction of the price. You just need to know what keywords to search for.

While doing my research, I came across 3 interesting Vinted accounts that sell NEW items.

  • This person had a boutique selling embroidered pashmina scarves (the cream of the crop). The embroidery is done by hand. These kinds of new scarves would easily cost you 400/500 euros, but she’s closing her shop and selling them at bargain prices, starting from 95 euros. If you don’t know what pashmina is, it’s a luxury version of cashmere, finer, warmer, and rarer. Pashmina scarves are very lightweight but provide much more warmth than their cashmere cousin. Pashmina requires 100% manual work (weaving, embroidery). More information about pashmina on my other blog.
  • This person lives next to the Hanro factory outlet, a luxury Portuguese brand specializing in underwear, loungewear, nightwear, and technical base layers. Everything is made from natural materials that I love (cotton, silk, merino wool, cashmere). The clothes sold have small imperfections (often related to weaving) but they’re not noticeable, plus these aren’t clothes you show to everyone (although… :D). Expect to pay 20 to 35 euros (new items usually cost between 90-140 euros). Read the composition carefully as there are merino/silk, silk/cashmere blends, etc., hence the different prices.
