This month, I didn’t spend much time at the sewing machine. My biggest project was a pair of tailored trousers made from 100% upcycled wool which I talked about here.

After five days of sewing, I realized the trousers were way too big for me. And yet, I used the smallest size from the pattern, and the measurements listed matched mine. I’ve decided to learn pattern making (with this book by Dominique Pellen) because it feels like such a waste to spend that much time making a garment that doesn’t fit me.

Aside from that, I barely had time to make some watch cushions for the watch box I made for JB. I used samples of cashmere and merino wool (super 120) to make them. They have a slightly luxurious feel, which JB really appreciates.

That’s it for now — I’ll try to make at least one garment a month to stay on track and keep progressing on my study pieces.
